Functions
  • The Steering Committee was established to deal with the advice from the director related to the operation of the Gyeongnam Provincial Museum of Art. The Committee, comprising about 20 experts with distinguished wisdom and virtue, provides advice on the matters below:
    • Matters related to the operating direction and the development of the Gyeongnam Provincial Museum of Art
    • Matters related to project planning
    • Matters related to the approval on the lease of the exhibition hall
    • Matters related to the collection plan
    • Other matters which the director refers to as related to the operation of the Gyeongnam Provincial Museum of Art
Artwork Screening Group
Basis for Establishme
  • Article 32, Ordinances on the Operation of Provincial Museum of Art (Establishment and Operation of the Steering Group)
Functions
  • The Artwork Screening Group determines whether to collect artworks and materials in Gyeongsangnam-do and from other regions produced during the modern and contemporary period of Korea, which are worth keeping for the academic and artistic aspects. The group comprises the experts in the world of art, who recommends and screens the artworks, and then determine whether to collect them or not. The detailed duties of the group are described below:
    • Artwork Recommendation Committee : recommend the artwork for collection per category (up to 5 pieces of art per committee member)
    • Artwork Screening Committee : determine whether to collect the recommended artwork or not and prioritize the recommended artwork for collection.
