- Promotion of regular visits to Gyeongsangnam-do by Chinese group tourists (April, August, October)

- Cooperation in hosting summer camps and winter training for youth soccer teams, and attracting students

On the 8th, the Gyeongsangnam-do Shandong Office, with the goal of rejuvenating tourism in Gyeongsangnam-do, partnered with China Qingdao Publishing Group at a friendly exchange agreement ceremony held in Qingdao, Shandong Province, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in culture, education, and tourism.

The China Qingdao Publishing Group (est. 1949) is a state-owned cultural enterprise based in Qingdao, China. It operates five news websites, including Qingdao Daily, Qingdao Morning News, and Life for the Elderly, as well as six apps such as Qingdao Newspaper Network and Marine News.

Under this agreement, the Shandong Office plans to share festivals and cultural exchange events held in Gyeongsangnam-do and regularly attract Chinese group tourists in cooperation with the Qingdao Publishing Group.

In April, the Shandong Office plans to organize a tour for about 100 tourists to visit Sanchong Donguibogam Village (Korean medicine), Tongyeong Cable Car and DIPIRANG (tourism), and Jinju School for the Elderly (cultural exchange), among other destinations.

In August, the office aims to attract the Qingdao youth soccer team for a summer camp in Gyeongsangnam-do, which would lead to winter training. In October, they plan to continue the trend of visitation by Chinese tourists, centered on the Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival.

In terms of culture and education, they plan to actively develop and cooperate in projects such as supporting the creative activities of local artists and photographers. Additionally, they intend to organize exchange programs for students from elementary to high school and universities, as well as attract foreign students.

The agreement ceremony was attended by the head of the Shandong Office, the vice president of the China Qingdao Publishing Group, representatives of the local Cultural Exchange Association of Youth, travel agency representatives, and others.

Shin Jeong-su, head of the Gyeongsangnam-do Shandong Office, stated, "This agreement signing will further strengthen our cooperation with Chinese institutions and companies. We will widely promote the strengths and environmental conditions of Gyeongsangnam-do to attract Chinese tourists, sports teams, cultural artists, and groups, including university students facing recruitment difficulties, and do our best to attract them.”
