Multicultural Children Language Development

Project Purpose

  • To assess the language development status of children from multicultural families and provide appropriate language education to children who have difficulty communicating, aiming to foster the development of the child's language skills

Project Overview

Eligibility
  • Children from multicultural families who require language assessments and language education (12 or below*)
    • Children attending elementary school are eligible even if they are older than 12 years old.

      ※ Note: Priority is given to multicultural families; however, depending on local conditions, foreign families and families of North Korean defectors can also be eligible.

Services Offered
  • Language Assessment: Children's degree of language development is evaluated using appropriate assessment tools.
  • Language Education: Designed for children identified as needing education after taking language development assessments.
    This program aims to promote vocabulary and syntactic development, improve conversational and social communication skills, and foster development in reading and storytelling.
  • Parent Counseling and Education: Parent counseling for building empathy between the parents and children and parent education for supporting their child's language development.
