Multicultural Family Support Center Internship
Recruitment Details
- 19 interns for each half of the year at 19 multicultural family support centers in each city (si) and district (gun), recruited publicly, then dispatched to the centers
Roles & Responsibilities
- Executing support programs for multicultural families (beginner Korean language instructor, counseling, interpretation, etc.)
- Performing multicultural awareness projects and assisting with various tasks at the center
Working Conditions
- Contract period: 5 months (First half: Feb.–Jun. / Second half: Jul.–Nov.)
- Working hours: 35 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 9:30 AM–5:30 PM), parking fees and monthly leaves included in the wage
- Compensation: Minimum wage
Operation of Local Self-Support Centers
20 centers (Gyeongsangnam-do Multicultural Family Support Center and 19 family centers in each city (si) and district (gun)
Services Offered
- Operation of employment desks dedicated to marriage migrants
- Operation of education and training programs, provision of job information, linkage with related institutions, and counseling services
Key Functions
- Operation of job placement desks, provision of employment and job information
- Operation of programs for supporting the economic independence of marriage migrant women
- Building a network with related institutions in the local community
